This lightning talk will be based on research conducted in early 2014. Using exports from several databases found in an academic setting, citation management software will be used to attempt to produce accurate bibliographies in styles found in the agriculture literature. Results and conclusions will touch upon database record completeness and export functionality. These test bibliographies will then be further contrasted against examples found in the recent agricultural literature. The variations in level of accuracy of the references will be discussed. The implications for student and researchers in an academic environment will be put forth.
